                    — 1989, c. 27, s. 13</TitleText></Heading><Section><MarginalNote>Transfer of powers, duties and functions</MarginalNote><Label>13.</Label><Text>Wherever under any Act, order, rule or regulation, or any contract, lease, licence or other document, any power, duty or function is vested in or exercisable by the Minister of Agriculture, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture or any officer of the Department of Agriculture, in relation to forestry or forest resources, the power, duty or function is vested in and shall be exercised by the Minister of Forestry, the Deputy Minister of Forestry or the appropriate officer of the Department of Forestry, as the case may be, unless the Governor in Council by order designates another Minister, Deputy Minister or officer of the public service of Canada to exercise that power, duty or function.</Text></Section></RelatedOrNotInForce><RelatedOrNotInForce><Heading level="5" style="nifrp"><TitleText>
                    — 1994, c. 38, s. 8</TitleText></Heading><Section><MarginalNote>Positions</MarginalNote><Label>8.</Label><Subsection><Label>(1)</Label><Text>Nothing in this Act shall be construed as affecting the status of an employee who, immediately before the coming into force of this Act, occupied a position in the Department of Agriculture, except that the employee shall, on the coming into force of this Act, occupy that position in the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food under the authority of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food.</Text></Subsection><Subsection><MarginalNote>Definition of <DefinedTermEn>employee</DefinedTermEn></MarginalNote><Label>(2)</Label><Text>In this section, <DefinedTermEn>employee</DefinedTermEn> has the same meaning as in subsection 2(1) of the <XRefExternal reference-type="act">Public Service Employment Act</XRefExternal>.</Text></Subsection></Section></RelatedOrNotInForce><RelatedOrNotInForce><Heading level="5" style="nifrp"><TitleText>
