Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that the remission of accrued interest payments owing to the Government of Canada on loans made to the Republic of Cameroon, the Republic of Madagascar and the Republic of Zambia through the Canada Account is in the public interest, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Treasury Board, pursuant to subsection 23(2.1)a of the Financial Administration Act, hereby makes the annexed Order Respecting the Remission of Interest Payments Owing to the Government of Canada on Loans Made to the Republic of Cameroon, the Republic of Madagascar and the Republic of Zambia.S.C. 1991, c. 24, s. 7(2)RemissionRemission is hereby granted to a country set out in column 1 of the schedule in the amount set out in column 2, which amount shall not be repaid and represents the amount of accrued interest owing to the Government of Canada on loans made through the Canada Account.(Section 1)
