VISITING FORCES ACTProclamation Designating Botswana as a Designated State for Purposes of the ActJEANNE SAUVÉ[L.S.]CanadaElizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom, Canada and Her other Realms and Territories QUEEN, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.To all to whom these Presents shall come or whom the same may in anyway concern,Greeting:FRANK IACOBUCCIDeputy Attorney GeneralA ProclamationWhereas pursuant to section 4 of the Visiting Forces Act, being chapter V-6 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1970, it is provided that the Governor in Council may by proclamationdesignate any country as a designated state for the purposes of that Act; anddeclare the extent to which that Act is applicable in respect of any designated state;And Whereas it is expedientto designate the Republic of Botswana as a designated state for the purposes of the said Act; andto declare that the said Act is applicable, with the exception of Part VI thereof, in respect of that designated state;Now Know You that We, by and with the advice of Our Privy Council for Canada, do by this Our Proclamation,designate the Republic of Botswana as a designated state for the purposes of the Visiting Forces Act; anddeclare that the Visiting Forces Act is applicable, with the exception of Part VI thereof, in respect of that designated state.Of All Which Our Loving Subjects and all others whom these Presents may concern are hereby required to take notice and to govern themselves accordingly.In Testimony Whereof, We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent and the Great Seal of Canada to be hereunto affixed.
