Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Employment and Immigration, pursuant to section 48 of the Unemployment Insurance Act, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Order approving the rates of premium fixed by the Canada Employment and Immigration Commission to be paid in the year 1990 pursuant to the Unemployment Insurance Act.SHORT TITLE

1.This Order may be cited as the Unemployment Insurance Rates of Premium, 1990, Order.

APPROVAL OF RATES OF PREMIUM

2.The rates of premium fixed by the Canada Employment and Immigration Commission to be paid in the year 1990 pursuant to Part II of the Unemployment Insurance Act are approved as set out in the schedule.

SCHEDULEEmployees’ rate of premium:1.95% of insurable earnings.Employers’ rate of premium:2.73% of insurable earnings.*(* 1.4 times the employees’ rate of premium)
