His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to paragraph 9(1)(c) of the Motor Vehicle Safety Acta, hereby makes the annexed Nova BUS Corporation Exemption Order, being of the opinion that conformity with certain prescribed standards would impede the development of new kinds of buses.aS.C. 1993, c. 16EXEMPTION

1.Six hundred and fifty units of Nova LFS low-floor model buses, manufactured by Nova BUS Corporation, are exempt from the requirements in subsections 217(11), (14), (17) and (19) of Schedule IV to the Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations that are applicable to push-out windows, for a period of two years beginning on the day on which this Order is registered under the Statutory Instruments Act.

COMING INTO FORCE

2.This Order comes into force on September 17, 1996.
