Order Declining to Set Aside or to Refer Back to the CRTC a Decision Amending the Broadcasting Licence of Moffat Communications Limited

Whereas the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission rendered Decision CRTC 85-13 on January 9, 1985 in which the Commission amended the broadcasting licence held by Moffat Communications Limited in respect of AM radio station CHAM in Hamilton, Ontario;

Whereas subsequent to the rendering of Decision CRTC 85-13, the Governor in Council has received petitions requesting that the said Decision CRTC 85-13 be set aside or referred back to the Commission for reconsideration and hearing by the Commission;

And Whereas the Governor in Council, having considered the petitions, is of the opinion that it is not in the public interest to set aside or to refer back to the Commission for reconsideration and hearing by the Commission the said Decision CRTC 85-13.

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Communications, pursuant to section 23 of the Broadcasting Act, hereby declines to set aside or to refer back to the Commission for reconsideration and hearing by the Commission Decision CRTC 85-13 of January 9, 1985.
