His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to paragraph (c) of the definition “band” in subsection 2(1) of the Indian ActFootnote a and subsection 73(3) of that Act, hereby makes the annexed Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation Band Order.

DECLARATION
1. The body of Indians described in section 2 is declared to be a band for the purposes of the Indian Act, to be known as the Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation.
2. The Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation is the body of Indians consisting of the persons identified in the schedule.
COMING INTO FORCE
3. This Order comes into force on the day on which it is registered.
