Version of section 37 from 2006-03-22 to 2007-06-01:

  •  (1) Any statement or other material required to be served in an opposition proceeding pursuant to section 38 of the Act or to these Regulations may be served on the party or the party’s trade-mark agent or representative for service either personally or by registered mail at the address in Canada set out in the statement of opposition or the application.

  • (2) When service is effected by registered mail, it is deemed to be effected on the date that it is mailed.
