    Export Permits Regulations

     The definitions in this section apply in these Regulations.

    controlled goods

    controlled goods has the same meaning as in the Defence Production Act. (marchandises contrôlées)

    customs office

    customs office has the same meaning as in subsection 2(1) of the Customs Act. (bureau de douane)

    goods

    goods means

    • (a) goods as described in the Guide that are intended for export to a destination specified in respect of those goods in section 2 of the List; or

    Guide

    Guide has the same meaning as in section 1 of the List. (Guide)

    officer

    officer has the same meaning as in subsection 2(1) of the Customs Act. (agent)

    Export Permits Regulations (Softwood Lumber Products 2015)

     The following definitions apply in these Regulations.

    board foot

    board foot  has the same meaning as in section 2 of the Softwood Lumber Products Export Charge Act, 2006. (pied-planche)

    region

    region  means Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon , Northwest Territories or Nunavut, and includes a region as defined in subsection 6.3(1) of the Act. (région)

    region of first primary processing

    region of first primary processing , in respect of a softwood lumber product, means the region where the product undergoes its first “primary processing”, as defined in section 2 of the Softwood Lumber Products Export Charge Act, 2006. (région de première transformation)

  3. Export Permits Regulations - SOR/97-204 (Section 13)
    Export Permits Regulations

     If a request for an amendment to a permit is approved, the letter of the Minister amending the permit, together with the original permit, becomes a valid permit, as amended, and shall not be amended except by the Minister under section 10 of the Act.

     A permit shall be sent to or held for the applicant or the exporter, as requested in the application.

     An application under subsection 7(1) of the Export and Import Permits Act or a request under section 8.31 of that Act for a permit to export a product shall include, in the form provided by the Minister,
