Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby(a)pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, transfers from the Department of Health to the Public Health Agency of Canada the control and supervision of the portion of the public service in the Department of Health known as the Population and Public Health Branch, and(b)orders that the Minister of Health shall preside over the Public Health Agency of Canada,effective September 24, 2004.
