Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby(a)pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition department in subsection 2(1) of the Public Service Employment Acta, designates the Public Appointments Commission Secretariat as a department for the purposes of that Act; and(b)pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition deputy head in subsection 2(1) of the Public Service Employment Acta, designates the Executive Director of the Public Appointments Commission Secretariat as the deputy head of that Secretariat for the purposes of that Act.aS.C. 2003, c. 22, ss. 12 and 13
