Whereas, pursuant to subsection 20(3) of the Public Service Employment Acta, the Public Service Commission has re-applied, subject to the approval of the Governor in Council, the provisions of that Act to the positions excluded under the Office of the Governor-General’s Secretary Exclusion Approval Orderb;S.C. 2003, c. 22, ss. 12 and 13SOR/84-181And whereas the Public Service Commission having decided that it is neither practicable nor in the best interests of the public service to apply certain provisions of the Public Service Employment Acta to positions designated by the position numbers GGS-S-910 to 920 in the Office of the Governor General’s Secretary and the persons occupying those positions and has decided to exclude, having consulted with the employer in accordance with subsection 20(2) of that Act and subject to the approval of the Governor in Council, pursuant to subsection 20(1) of that Act, those positions and persons from the application of the Act, with the exception of sections 17, 18, 19, 54, 68, 69 and 111 to 122 of that Act;Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, and pursuant to section 20 of the Public Service Employment Acta, hereby approvesthe re-application of the provisions of the Public Service Employment Acta to the positions excluded under the Office of the Governor-General’s Secretary Exclusion Approval Orderb; andthe exclusion from the application of the Public Service Employment Acta, with the exception of sections 17, 18, 19, 54, 68, 69 and 111 to 122 of that Act to positions designated by the position numbers GGS-S-910 to 920 in the Office of the Governor General’s Secretary and the persons occupying those positions.
