Regulations are current to 2025-09-29
2 The Bank shall have in Canada the privileges and immunities set out in Chapter VIII of the Agreement and, in particular,
(a) the status set out in Article 45 of the Agreement;
(b) the position with regard to judicial process, as set out in Article 46 of the Agreement;
(c) the immunity of its property and assets from seizure, as set out in Article 47 of the Agreement;
(d) the inviolability of its archives, as set out in Article 48 of the Agreement;
(e) the freedom from restrictions of all property and assets to the extent set out in Article 49 of the Agreement;
(f) the same treatment accorded to its official communications as is accorded to the official communications of any other member, as set out in Article 50 of the Agreement;
(g) the immunities and privileges of its officers and employees, as set out in Articles 51 and 52 of the Agreement; and
(h) the exemption from direct taxes of its assets, property and income, as set out in Article 53 of the Agreement.
