His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of the Environment, pursuant to paragraph 59(e) of the Canadian Environmental Assessment ActFootnote a, hereby makes the annexed Federal Authorities Regulations.

General
1 The bodies set out in the schedule are prescribed to be federal authorities for the purposes of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act.
Coming into Force
2 These Regulations come into force on May 28, 1996.
SCHEDULE(Section 1)List of Federal Authorities
1 Canada–Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board established by the joint operation of the Canada–Newfoundland and Labrador Atlantic Accord Implementation Act and The Canada-Newfoundland Atlantic Accord Implementation (Newfoundland) Act, chapter 37 of the Statutes of Newfoundland, 1986.
2 Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board established by the joint operation of the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation Act and the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation (Nova Scotia) Act, Chapter 3 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1987.
