Marine Activities in the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park Regulations

1 (1) The following definitions apply in these Regulations.
national marine conservation area means a marine conservation area or a reserve, as those terms are defined in subsection 2(1) of the Canada National Marine Conservation Areas Act, or the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park established under section 5 of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park Act. Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 17 of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park ActFootnote a, hereby makes the annexed Marine Activities in the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park Regulations.
2 The construction, in a national marine conservation area, of a new physical work if the construction is contrary to the management plan for that area tabled in or laid before each House of Parliament under subsection 9(1) of the Canada National Marine Conservation Areas Act or subsection 9(1) of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park Act.
3.2 In the event of any inconsistency between these Regulations and any regulations respecting marine mammals made under the Oceans Act, the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park Act or the Canada National Marine Conservation Areas Act, the regulations made under those Acts shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
