Board of Steamship Inspection Scale of Fees
11 (1) The fee payable for each annual, quadrennial or quinquennial inspection of a self-propelled ship that is subject to annual inspection, subsequent to the first inspection, is
(a) where the ship is a passenger ship having a gross tonnage referred to in an item set out in Column I of Table I to this section, the amount set out for that item in Column II of that Table; and
(b) where the ship is a non-passenger ship having a gross tonnage set out in column I of an item of Table II to this section,
(i) the fee set out in column II of that item, or
(ii) where the inspection is solely in respect of parts of the ship other than items referred to in subsection 5(2) of the Classed Ships Inspection Regulations, 1988, the lesser of one-half of the fee set out in column II of that item and $770.

(b) for a non-passenger ship having a gross tonnage set out in column I of an item of Table II to this section,
(i) twice the fee set out in column II of that item, or
(ii) where the inspection is solely in respect of parts of the ship other than items referred to in subsection 5(2) of the Classed Ships Inspection Regulations, 1988, the lesser of one-half of the fee set out in column II of that item and $770.
(3) The fees calculated in accordance with subsection (1) or (2) shall be rounded to the nearest whole dollar or, if the amount is equidistant from two whole dollars, to the higher thereof.
