Life Saving Equipment Regulations
Version of section 95 from 2006-03-22 to 2006-10-18:
95 (1) A Class X ship that is 85 m or under in length and is not a tanker shall carry
(a) where the ship is engaged on a home-trade voyage, Class II, or an inland voyage, Class I, one rescue boat; and
(b) in any other case, one emergency boat.
(2) A Class X ship that is over 85 m in length and is not a tanker shall carry
(a) on each side of the ship, one rescue boat where the ship is engaged on a home-trade voyage, Class II;
(b) one rescue boat where the ship is engaged on a home-trade voyage, Class III, or an inland voyage, Class I; and
(c) one emergency boat where the ship is engaged on any other voyage.
