Regulations Respecting the Stabilization of the Price of Coloured Beans Marketed in 1982-83

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and the Treasury Board, pursuant to sections 2, 8.2 and 11 of the Agricultural Stabilization ActFootnote *, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations respecting the stabilization of the price of coloured beans marketed in 1982-83.

Short Title

 These Regulations may be cited as the Coloured Bean Stabilization Regulations, 1982-83.

Interpretation

 In these Regulations,

coloured beans

coloured beans means beans, other than white beans, grown in 1982 and marketed during the market year; (haricots colorés)

market year

market year means the period beginning September 1, 1982 and ending October 31, 1983. (année de mise en marché)

Designation

 Coloured beans are hereby designated as an agricultural commodity for the purposes of the Agricultural Stabilization Act.

Prescribed Percentage

 For the purpose of determining the prescribed price of coloured beans in the market year, the percentage of the base price of coloured beans for that year is hereby prescribed to be 90 per cent.

Prescribed Price

 The prescribed price of coloured beans in the market year shall be the amount obtained by adjusting 90 per cent of the base price of coloured beans for that year by the index applicable thereto, calculated in the manner set out therein under the Production Cost Index Regulations.
