6 (1) Subject to subsection (2), no person shall engage in fishing by means of
(a) a hook used in such a manner as to pierce or hook a fish in any part of the body other than the mouth;
(b) a gaff;
(c) a snare; or
(d) a device prohibited by section 7.
(2) A person may use a gaff to assist in landing any fish caught by lawful means.
