  • 523.01 (1) The standards of airworthiness for the issuance of a type certificate in respect of a normal, utility, aerobatic or commuter category aeroplane, or for a change to such a type certificate, are those specified in Chapter 523 of the Airworthiness Manual.

  • (2) The standards of airworthiness for the issuance of a type certificate in respect of a very light aeroplane in the normal or utility category, or for a change to such a type certificate, are those specified in Chapter 523-VLA of the Airworthiness Manual.
