Marginal note:Cessation of representation

 A solicitor is deemed not to represent a party if the solicitor dies or ceases to act for the party for any of the following reasons:

  • (a) appointment to a public office incompatible with the solicitor’s profession;

  • (b) suspension or disbarment as a solicitor;

  • (c) an order made under rule 125; or

  • (d) the solicitor serves and files a notice under subsection 124(5).
