Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation Band Order

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to paragraph (c) of the definition band in subsection 2(1) of the Indian ActFootnote a and subsection 73(3) of that Act, hereby makes the annexed Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation Band Order.

Declaration

 The body of Indians described in section 2 is declared to be a band for the purposes of the Indian Act, to be known as the Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation.

 The Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation is the body of Indians consisting of the persons identified in the Schedule.

SCHEDULE(Section 2)

The Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation is the body of Indians consisting of the persons identified on the list of founding members provided by the Enrolment Committee to the Government of Canada and to the Federation of Newfoundland Indians on November 26, 2020.
