His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Northern Pipeline AgencyFootnote *, pursuant to subsection 26(3) of the Northern Pipeline Act, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations prescribing the Notice of Objection from to be used by a Company that objects to an assessment under section 26 of the Northern Pipeline ActFootnote **.

Short Title
1 This Regulation may be cited as the Northern Pipeline Notice of Objection Regulations.
Form
2 The form set out in the schedule hereto is hereby prescribed.

Notice of Objection
For use by a company that objects to an assessment under subsection 26(1.1) of the Northern Pipeline Act.
A separate Notice of Objection must be served on the Minister in respect of each ASSESSMENT to which objection is taken. If the facts and reasons set out in one Notice are identical to the facts and reasons in another, this may be indicated and one statement of facts and reasons will be sufficient.
TWO completed copies of this Notice (signed by an authorized officer of the company) are to be sent by REGISTERED MAIL to the Minister responsible for the Northern Pipeline Agency, Post Office Box 1605, Station B, Ottawa, Ontario, K1P 5A0. The envelope containing the Notices must be postmarked within 30 days from the date of mailing of the Notice of Assessment to which objection is being taken.
