SCHEDULE(ss. 2 and 3)

PART IDescription of the Airport Reference Point

The airport reference point is a point coincidental with the Department of Transport airport control survey monument No. 840-305, located at latitude 61°45′20.2905″, longitude 121°13′59.6865″.

PART IIDescription of the Outer Limits of Land

The following described boundaries are the outer limits of lands:

COMMENCING at a point in the northern boundary of Protective Easement for Lot 19, Group 911, Plan 59432 (C.L.S.R.) 1037 (L.T.O.), where it is intersected by the circumference of a circle having a radius of 4 000 m and centered at the airport reference point as described in Part I of the schedule; THENCE, in a northeasterly direction following the circumference of the said circle clockwise to the point where it intersects the southern boundary of Protective Easement for Lot 19, Group 911, Plan 59432 (C.L.S.R.) 1037 (L.T.O.); THENCE, westerly along the southerly boundary of said Protective Easement to the southwest corner thereof; THENCE, northerly along the westerly boundary of said Protective Easement to the northwest corner thereof; THENCE, easterly along the northerly boundary of said Protective Easement to the point of commencement, as said outer limits are shown on Department of Transport Fort Simpson Airport Zoning Plan No. E.1544.

PART IIIDescription of the Approach Surfaces

The approach surfaces, shown on Department of Transport Fort Simpson Airport Zoning Plan No. E.1544, are surfaces abutting each end of the strips associated with the runways designated 12-30 and 17-35 and are described as follows:

  • (a) a surface abutting the end of the strip associated with runway approach 12, and

  • (b) a surface abutting the end of the strip associated with runway approach 30,

consisting of an inclined plane having a ratio of 1 m measured vertically to 50 m measured horizontally rising to an imaginary horizontal line drawn at right angles to the projected centre line of the strip, 300 m measured vertically above the elevation at the end of the strip, and 15 000 m measured horizontally from the end of the strip, the outer ends of the imaginary horizontal line being 2 400 m from the projected centre line; and

  • (c) a surface abutting the end of the strip associated with runway approach 17, and

  • (d) a surface abutting the end of the strip associated with runway approach 35,

consisting of an inclined plane having a ratio of 1 m measured vertically to 40 m measured horizontally rising to an imaginary horizontal line drawn at right angles to the projected centre line of the strip, 75 m measured vertically above the elevation at the end of the strip, and 3 000 m measured horizontally from the end of the strip, the outer ends of the imaginary horizontal line being 375 m from the projected centre line.

PART IVDescription of the Outer Surface

The outer surface, shown on Department of Transport Fort Simpson Airport Zoning Plan No. E.1544, is an imaginary surface located at a common plane established at a constant elevation of 45 m above the assigned elevation of the airport reference point except where that common plane is less than 9 m above the surface of the ground, the imaginary surface is located 9 m above the surface of the ground.

PART VDescription of the Strips

The strips, shown on Department of Transport Fort Simpson Airport Zoning Plan No. E.1544, are described as follows:

  • (a) the strip associated with runway 12-30 is 300 m in width, 150 m being on each side of the centre line of the runway, and 1 948.8 m in length; and

  • (b) the strip associated with runway 17-35 is 150 m in width, 75 m being on each side of the centre line of the runway, and 1 644 m in length.

PART VIDescription of Each Transitional Surface

Each transitional surface, shown on Department of Transport Fort Simpson Airport Zoning Plan No. E.1544, is a surface consisting of an inclined plane having a ratio of 1 m measured vertically to 7 m measured horizontally at right angles to the centre line and centre line produced of each strip and extending upward and outward from the lateral limits of the strip and its approach surfaces to an intersection with the outer surface or another transitional surface of an adjoining strip.
