Order Declaring that Part I of the Canada-Nova Scotia Oil and Gas Agreement Act Does Not Apply in Respect of Certain Parts of The Offshore Area

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources and having been satisfied that the Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources has consulted with the Minister of Mines and Energy for the Province of Nova Scotia as required pursuant to subsection 6(2) of An Act respecting the Canada-Nova Scotia Agreement on Offshore Oil and Gas Resource Management and Revenue Sharing and to make related and consequential amendments, being chapter 29 of the Statutes of Canada 1984, and that the Minister of Mines and Energy for the Province of Nova Scotia has given his approval in accordance with that subsection, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Order declaring that Part I of the Canada-Nova Scotia Oil and Gas Agreement Act does not apply in respect of certain parts of the offshore area.
Short Title
1 This Order may be cited as the Offshore Area Exclusion Order.
Exclusion
2 Part I of the Canada-Nova Scotia Oil and Gas Agreement Act does not apply in respect of the following parts of the offshore area, as described by reference to the grid system set out in the Canada Oil and Gas Land Regulations, C.R.C., c. 1518:
Coming into Force
3 This Order shall come into force on July 28, 1984.
