His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to subsection 10(1) of the Canada Petroleum Resources ActFootnote a, hereby makes the annexed Order Prohibiting the Issuance of Interests at Rampart House in the Yukon Territory.

Purpose
1 The purpose of this Order is to prohibit the issuance of interests on certain frontier lands because they are designated as a Historic Site.
Prohibition
2 No interests may be issued in respect of the frontier lands described in the schedule.
Coming into Force
3 This Order comes into force on December 4, 1997.
SCHEDULE(Section 2)
The whole of Lots numbered 1 and 2, Group 1301 (lands described as Rampart House Historic Site) in the Yukon Territory, as said lots are shown on a plan of survey of record number 35102 in the Canada Lands Surveys Records at Ottawa.
Saving and excepting that part of Rampart House situated within 60 feet of the Canada-United States of America (Yukon-Alaska) boundary and any part of Lot 1, Group 1301, as said lot is shown on a plan of survey of record number 35102 in the Canada Lands Surveys Records at Ottawa, to which fee simple title has been raised.
