Order Respecting the Remission of Anti-Dumping Duties on Vitreous Type I Cold-Rolled Steel

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 115 of the Customs TariffFootnote a, hereby makes the annexed Order Respecting the Remission of Anti-Dumping Duties on Vitreous Type I Cold-Rolled Steel.

Remission
1 Subject to section 2, remission is hereby granted of the anti-dumping duties paid or payable under the Special Import Measures Act on imports of vitreous type I cold-rolled steel produced by the open coil anneal process to cover the period commencing on June 1, 1997 and ending on October 31, 1997.
Conditions
2 Remission is granted pursuant to section 1 on condition that:
(a) a claim for remission is made to the Minister of National Revenue within two years after the day on which this Order comes into force; and,
(b) the importer files such evidence as National Revenue may require that the subject steel is vitreous type I cold-rolled steel produced using the open coil anneal process.
Coming into Force
3 This Order comes into force on February 26, 1998.
