3 (1) The Miawpukek Band is that body of Indians comprising every person

(b) who is not excluded by the operation of section 7 of the Indian Act from entitlement to registration as an Indian; and
2 The body of Indians described in section 3, and sometimes known as the Conne River Indian Band, is a band for the purposes of the Indian Act and is to be known as “Miawpukek Mi’Kamawey Mawio’mi” or, in its abbreviated form, the “Miawpukek Band”.
Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to subsection 73(3) and paragraph (c) of the definition band in subsection 2(1) of the Indian Act, is pleased hereby
(b) to make the annexed Order declaring a body of Indians at Conne River, Newfoundland, to be a band for the purposes of the Indian Act, in substitution therefor.
