  •  His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a)Footnote ^a of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties ActFootnote ^b, hereby

    • (a) transfers to the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of the Environment

      • (i) under the Mackenzie Gas Project Impacts ActFootnote ^c in relation to the Mackenzie gas project, and

      • (ii) under section 209 of the Budget Implementation Act, 2006Footnote ^d; and

    • (b) transfers from the Department of the Environment to the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development the control and supervision of the portion of the federal public administration in the Department of the Environment known as the Mackenzie Gas Project Office,

    effective February 16, 2011.
