20 (1) Each person employed in the Canadian Centre for Management Development or seconded thereto from the Public Service Commission on the day preceding the day on which this Act comes into force assumes, on the day on which this Act comes into force, a position in the Centre of the same occupational nature and at the same level as the position occupied by the person on that preceding day.

(2) Each person referred to in subsection (1) shall be deemed to have been appointed to the position assumed by that person, on the day on which it is assumed, in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act.
(3) Notwithstanding section 28 of the Public Service Employment Act, no person deemed under subsection (2) to have been appointed is subject to probation unless the person was subject to probation on the day preceding the day of the deemed appointment, and any person who was so subject to probation continues subject thereto only for as long as would have been the case but for this section.
