Ontario Apple Order

C.R.C., c. 170

AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS MARKETING ACT

Order Granting Authority to Regulate the Marketing in Interprovincial and Export Trade of Apples Produced in Ontario

Short Title

 This Order may be cited as the Ontario Apple Order.

Interpretation

 In this Order,

Act

Act means The Farm Products Marketing Act of Ontario; (Loi)

apples

apples means apples of every variety produced in Ontario; (pommes)

Board

Board means The Farm Products Marketing Board of Ontario established pursuant to the Act; (Régie)

Commission

Commission means The Ontario Apple Marketing Commission established pursuant to the Act; (Commission)

Plan

Plan means any plan and regulations established and made under the Act respecting the marketing of apples, and includes any amendment made to the plan or regulations under the Act. (Plan)

Interprovincial and Export Trade

 The Board and the Commission are each authorized to regulate the marketing of apples in interprovincial and export trade and for such purposes may, with respect to persons and property situated within the Province of Ontario, exercise all or any powers like the powers exercisable by each of them in relation to the marketing of apples locally within that Province under the Act and the Plan.
