17 (1) The Minister shall make a final computation of any fiscal stabilization payment that may be paid to a province under section 6 of the Act for a fiscal year within 32 months after the end of the fiscal year for which an application is made and shall provide the province with a statement that describes the manner in which that computation was made.

(2) If the amount of the final computation of the fiscal stabilization payment to be paid is more than the total amount of interim payments made under subsection 15(2), the Minister shall pay the difference between those amounts to the province.
