His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Health, pursuant to section 37 of the Canada Consumer Product Safety ActFootnote a, makes the annexed Infant Feeding Bottle Nipples Regulations.

Interpretation

Definition of infant feeding bottle nipple

 In these Regulations, infant feeding bottle nipple includes a similar product that is put in the mouth of an infant during use.

Requirement

Marginal note:Limit of volatile N-nitrosamines

 An infant feeding bottle nipple must not contain more than 10 µg/kg total volatile N-nitrosamines, as determined by dichloromethane extraction.
