Regulations Prescribing the Persons to Whom Copies of the Consolidated Regulations of Canada 1978 May Be Delivered without Charge

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 27(k) of the Statutory Instruments Act, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations prescribing the persons to whom copies of the Consolidated Regulations of Canada, 1978 may be delivered without charge.

Short Title

 These Regulations may be cited as the Consolidated Regulations Delivery Regulations.

Interpretation

 In these Regulations,

Consolidated Regulations

Consolidated Regulations means the Consolidated Regulations of Canada 1978; (Codification des règlements)

hard cover copy

hard cover copy means a series of volumes containing the Consolidated Regulations, the covers of which are

  • (a) composed of solid binders board of 0.120 inch thickness,

  • (b) bound with Tanotex of bright finish quality Number 8524, colour Number 490 dark blue of Morocco grain finish and manufactured by Columbia Finishing Mills Limited, and

  • (c) lettered in a silver colour; (copie à couverture rigide)

soft cover copy

soft cover copy means a series of volumes containing the Consolidated Regulations, the covers of which are

  • (a) composed of paper No. 1 coated cover, S.C., C1S, coated one side, basis 301M, caliber 0.012, manufactured by Domtar Inc., and

  • (b) bound using a wraparound process known as “perfect binding”. (copies à couverture molle)

Delivery

 A hard cover copy shall be delivered without charge to those persons for the time being holding the offices specified in Schedule I.

 A soft cover copy shall be delivered without charge to the persons for the time being holding the offices specified in Schedule II for the use of those persons while holding those offices.

 A soft cover copy shall be delivered without charge, on request, to the persons for the time being holding the offices or performing the functions specified in Schedule III for the use of those persons while holding those offices or performing those functions.
