36 Except as otherwise provided in the Newfoundland Fishery Regulations, the Quebec Fishery Regulations, 1990 or the Maritime Provinces Fishery Regulations or as a condition of a licence, no person shall fish with a drift net or any fixed gear other than a hand-line within
(a) subject to paragraph (b), 200 m of any previously set fixed gear other than a hand-line; or
(b) 300 m of a weir that is in fishing order.
