Regulations Respecting the Stabilization of the Price of Sour Cherries Marketed in the Crop Year 1987

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and the Treasury Board, pursuant to sections 2Footnote *, 8.2Footnote **, 10Footnote *** and 11Footnote **** of the Agricultural Stabilization Act, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations respecting the stabilization of the price of sour cherries marketed in the crop year 1987.

Short Title

 These Regulations may be cited as the Sour Cherry Stabilization Regulations, 1987.

Interpretation

 In these Regulations,

Act

Act means the Agricultural Stabilization Act; (Loi)

crop year

crop year means the period between July 1 and June 30; (année-récolte)

sour cherries

sour cherries means sour cherries grown in Canada in the calendar year 1987 and sold by a producer during the crop year; (cerises sures)

Designated Commodity

 Sour cherries are hereby designated as an agricultural commodity for the purposes of the Act.

Prescribed Percentage

 For the purposes of determining the prescribed price of sour cherries for the crop year 1987, the percentage of the base price of sour cherries for that crop year is hereby prescribed to be 90 per cent.
