Regulations Prescribing a Class of Goods for the Purposes of Subsection 35.02(4) of the Customs Act

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of National Revenue, pursuant to subsection 35.02(4)Footnote * and paragraph 164(1)(i)Footnote ** of the Customs ActFootnote ***, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations prescribing a class of goods for the purposes of subsection 35.02(4) of the Customs Act, effective on the day on which section 83 of An Act to implement the North American Free Trade Agreement, being chapter 44 of the Statutes of Canada, 1993, comes into force.

Short Title
1 These Regulations may be cited as the NAFTA Prescribed Class of Goods Regulations.
Class of Goods
2 The goods in respect of which any regulations made under paragraph 19(1)(a) of the Customs Tariff apply are hereby prescribed as a class of goods for the purposes of subsection 35.02(4) of the Customs Act.
