Version of section C.04.417 from 2006-03-22 to 2006-12-13:

  •  (1) All blood for human plasma shall be collected from a donor

    • (a) by a practitioner; or

    • (b) under the supervision of a practitioner, by a person trained in the procedure of blood collection.

  • (2) The human plasma shall, immediately after each blood collection, be separated from the red blood cells.

  • (3) Sodium Chloride for injection, when used to return blood cell suspension to a donor, shall be obtained from a previously unused container.
