Order Designating Certain Members of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada to be Minister for the Purposes of this Act and Certain Sections of that Act in Certain Circumstances: (1) the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness; (2) the Minister of Transport; and (3) the Minister of Foreign Affairs

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister,

  • (a) pursuant to subsection 4(1) of the Preclearance Act, 2016Footnote a, designates the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the responsible Minister for the purposes of that Act;

  • (b) pursuant to subsections 4(2) and (3) of that Act,

    • (i) designates the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of sections 6 to 8 of that Act in circumstances concerning highways, roads, bridges, tunnels and paths, and

    • (ii) designates the Minister of Transport, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of sections 6 to 8 of that Act in circumstances concerning marine navigation or infrastructure, aerodromes and railways and railway terminals; and

  • (c) pursuant to subsection 4(2) of that Act, designates the Minister of Foreign Affairs, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of section 41 of that Act.
