Order Transferring to the Department of External Affairs from the Department of the Solicitor General, the Control and Supervision of the Passport Office

Whereas, pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, the control and supervision of the Passport Office was transferred from the Department of External Affairs to the Department of the Solicitor General by Order in Council P.C. 1993-1485 of June 25, 1993Footnote *;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, is pleased hereby to transfer to the Department of External Affairs the control and supervision of that portion of the public service in the Department of the Solicitor General known as the Passport Office.
