Marginal note:Manner of display — official languages

  •  (1) The health warning must be displayed on cigarettes, little cigars or tubes in both official languages in such a manner that

    • (a) the English and French versions each occupy at most 40% of the display area; and

    • (b) one version is below the other.

  • Marginal note:Alignment

    (2) The health warning must be centered horizontally along the length of the display area of the cigarette, little cigar or tube.

  • Marginal note:Text

    (3) The text of the health warning must be printed on two white backgrounds, with the English version on one and the French version on the other.

  • Marginal note:Format

    (4) The health warning must be displayed on the cigarette, little cigar or tube in “Landscape” format.

  • Marginal note:Format — length of tipping paper

    (5) However, if the tipping paper of the cigarette, little cigar or tube is 30 mm or more in length, the health warning must be displayed in “Elongated Landscape” format.
