Order Respecting the Remission of Customs Duties on Artificial Turf and Rubber Backing for British Columbia Place

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 101 of the Customs TariffFootnote *, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Order respecting the remission of customs duties on artificial turf and rubber backing for British Columbia Place.

Short Title
1 This Order may be cited as the B.C. Place Replacement Turf Remission Order, 1995.
Remission
2 Subject to section 3, remission is hereby granted of the customs duties paid or payable under Schedule I to the Customs Tariff on artificial turf and cyclized rubber sheets of tariff item Nos. 5603.00.10 or 5701.90.10, respectively, imported by or on behalf of British Columbia Pavilion Corporation to replace and/or repair the existing field in B.C. Place.
Conditions
3 The remission is granted pursuant to section 2 on the condition that:
(a) the artificial turf and cyclized rubber sheets are imported into Canada during the period commencing on February 1, 1993 and ending on December 31, 1997; and
(b) a claim for remission is made to the Minister of National Revenue within three years of the date of importation of the goods for which remission is claimed.
